Konami may obtain the following Information from a customer in the following cases: (“Information” means information defined in the Privacy Policy.)

  1. When a customer applies for the use of our products/services or when a customer participates in a campaign, exhibition, private viewing, or other events held by Konami:

    The name, likeness, personal characteristics, voices, address and other residence information, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth, age, sex, blood type, country or region, place of origin, occupation, language, credit card or other payment information, nickname, password challenge/response, and other information necessary for issuing the ID, accepting applications for participation, providing services, and operating above events.
  2. When a customer views our website or when a customer purchases or uses our products or services:
    1. Browsing history of any websites of Konami, identification information of the device used to view the websites, IP address, positioning information, language of your choice, other Internet utilization environment of the viewer, selected products and services, purchase history, status of using products and services, etc.
    2. In addition to the above, the following information may be obtained when a customer purchases or uses Konami’s game or other products or services through a PC, game instrument with a communication function, or cellular phone or any other terminal:

      OS information and the model name of the above instrument or terminal, identifier, the ID assigned by the game platform provider, such as Apple, Google, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Nintendo, Microsoft, Valve, DeNA, GREE, and Yahoo!JAPAN, play data, user input data, such as player name and profile, connection history, billing records, positioning information that may be obtained from the above terminal, and information regarding viewing advertisements.
  3. When a customer answers a questionnaire conducted by Konami:

    The name, address, or other contact information, answers to questions, and other items requested to be answered in the format of a questionnaire
  4. When a customer contacts our customer support, and Konami responds to such request:

    The name, address, or other contact information, contents of his/her request and our responses, and information necessary for responding to the request and supporting follow-up responses thereafter
  5. In addition to the above, Konami may obtain Information that a customer has provided to another person, including by posting on Twitter, Facebook or any other social networking service, or any platform provided by a third party, and for which the customer consents that such other person may provide it to a third party.

Purpose of using Information

Konami may use Information obtained by us for the following purposes:

  1. To provide services or products, such as preserving data to make it possible to use a game continuously, linking games using different mediums, creating a ranking showing the results of a game, and operating the tournament using games
  2. To continue to provide products and services in a sound and appropriate manner
  3. To develop, improve, or enhance the quality of, products or services
  4. To provide information related to products or services
  5. To provide information about planning or implementation of campaigns, exhibitions, private viewings or other events, send prizes or premiums, and operate events
  6. To provide advertising, publicity, and marketing of products and services of Konami and third parties (including advertising, publicity, and marketing tailored to tastes and preference of those who have provided the information)
  7. To be used for payment of prices for products and services
  8. To request answers to a survey by questionnaire or seek opinions and feedback from a customer regarding products and services
  9. To respond to consultation and inquiries from a customer and to provide other customer support
  10. To prepare statistical data (including the preparation of statistical data to be provided to third parties)
  11. To otherwise provide proper and smooth services to customers

Use of cookies and Web beacons

When obtaining information set forth in the above Collection of Information(3), Konami may use cookies, Web beacons, or other tracking technologies. A cookie is a mechanism to store in a terminal, when it accesses a website, information designated by the website operator (such as identification information of the browser used to access it). Konami will use cookies with the aim of confirming the access status by each browser to a website or server of Konami, so that when the customer using the browser returns to the website or server of Konami, the configuration of the website or server will be adjusted to enable the customer to use it in a more useful environment. Please note in advance that a customer may deny use of cookies by changing the browser settings, but in this case, Konami may be unable to provide the customer with a useful environment for accessing Konami’s website, or the customer may be unable to use other parts of the services of Konami. Entrustment and provision of Information to third party

An ad serving company who provides services, such as advertising or information analysis services, collects and analyzes individual's behavioral history in receiving products and services on the websites and the mobile devices, his/her social attribute information, and taste and preference information (including the analogical information) by using all kinds of identifications, cookies, and any other information technologies presuming the individual. Based on their results, the ad serving company provides customers and third parties with advertisement tailored to the individual’s tastes and preferences. In this process, the ad serving company may receive provision of said information from an advertiser. We use the above services to provide our advertisements suitable to you or any other third party, and in this case, we may also provide the said information to the ad serving company. A customer may request from Konami disclosure, correction, addition, removal, discontinuation of use, deletion, and other disposition of the Information that is his/her personal information (hereinafter collectively “Disclosure , etc.”) by completing the following procedures:

    To request Disclosure, etc. of your personal information, please contact the Contact for Inquiries below by telephone, post or e-mail. Upon receipt of your request, Konami will sendthe prescribed application form by post. Please enter the necessary information on the application form and send it back to the Contact for Inquiries below together with the following documents necessary for requesting Disclosure, etc.:

    1. Any one of the following documents that shows the same name and address of the customer who requests Disclosure, etc. of personal information as those shown on the above application form:
      • Copy of the driver’s license (including the reverse side showing the present address, in case of a change to the address)
      • Copy of the passport (both the page for the customer’s name/address and the page for a photograph)
      • Copy of the basic resident register card with a photograph (including the reverse side showing the present address, in case of a change to the address)
      • Copy of the residence card (including the reverse side showing the present address, in case of a change to the address)
      • Copy of the special permanent resident certificate (including the reverse side showing the present address, in case of a change to the address)
      • Copy of an identification card for the insured person (health insurance card)
    2. In addition to the above, one transcript of the certificate of residence of the customer obtained within three months before the date of application (a copy is not accepted)
      *Information of the legal domicile is not necessary.
    In certain cases, Konami may use other methods specified by us to verify the customer’s identity, instead of the method of verification with items a and b above.

  3. Documents for verification of proxy

    If Disclosure, etc. of personal information is requested by proxy, the following documents must be submitted, in addition to items a and b of the documents necessary for requesting Disclosure, etc. of personal information for the verification of the customer’s identity:
    1. Document showing the identity of the proxy (items a and b of the documents necessary for requesting Disclosure, etc. of personal information pertaining to the proxy)
    2. In case of a legal proxy (such as a parent), one copy of a document verifying the power of proxy, such as a copy of the family register or a certificate of items stated in family register (issued within three months)
    3. In case of an appointed proxy (such as a lawyer), one copy of a letter of attorney (with a signature and the registered seal of the customer concerned affixed) and one copy of the certificate of the seal impression for the registered seal of the customer concerned affixed to the letter of attorney
  4. Fee for requesting Disclosure, etc.

    We charge 500 yen (consumption tax included) as an administration fee (including postage) for each request for Disclosure, etc. of personal information. We may charge an administration fee exceeding 500 yen (consumption tax included) depending on the postage and number of prints of a written reply to you when such is needed.

  5. Points to be attended to when requesting Disclosure, etc. of personal information
    1. We will not return the application form and other documents submitted for requesting Disclosure, etc. of personal information. We will retain the application forms, documents, and other similar information (data) submitted by the customer for the necessary period and will destroy them upon the lapse of the period.
      The same applies in the case of a request for removal of personal information where we remove the personal information concerned according to the request.
    2. Our answer to a request for Disclosure, etc. of personal information will be given in writing to the address (in Japan) of the requester (or the proxy in the case of a request by proxy) entered in the application form if the request is made by an application form.

    Name, sex, date of birth, likeness, address, telephone number, emergency contact, the custodian’s name, address and other residence information, contact information of the custodian, information on payment methods of school fees, and other information necessary for procedures for admission
  6. When Konami provides a customer, after admission into school, with every kind of schooling services, including instructions, career counseling, and assistance for job hunting activities:

    Name, ID identifying the customer admitted into school, registration for study, attendance records, information on game play (including play data of games as teaching materials and account information), information received from the customer when providing career counseling, information on payment of school fees, and other necessary information for the provision of schooling services
  7. When Konami responds to requests for which inquiries or other communications have been made by the customer in connection with schooling services:

    Name, address, other contact information, contents of the requests and responses to them, and information necessary for responding to the requests and follow-up responses

A “customer” in the Privacy Policy shall be replaced with an “Applicant for a Job Opening.”
